A light to medium, hoppy ale. Rtefreshingly dry, with a balancing sweetness. A citrus pale malt aroma and dry bitter finish with a consistent amber / gold colour.
:: Absolution	Abbeydale	5.3% ABV
Pure Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt and English Goldings hops produce this mid-straw coloured beer with aromas of tropical fruit, particularly mangoes. The beer is sweet all the way through, balanced by a subtle bitterness at the finish. The rich, mellow, sweetish taste is tempered with citric overtones. Flavours are fruity with toffee-apples and bananas. A clean tasting beer, sweetish but not cloying. Very drinkable. Winner of many awards, Absolution is a perennial favourite.

Fragrant aromas of finest English hops and malt. Dry but refreshing, with a distinctive lingering hoppiness. Appetising and delicious. Adnams The Bitter is a top ten selling cask beer in the UK. The Bitter from Adnams is as distinctive as "Southwold Jack" (the knight with the sword) who appears on the pump clip and has gone through many incarnations.

A pale, strong ale having characteristic malt flavour balanced with a clean, crisp, hop taste.

Very pale, Belgian style Tripel beer with strong hoppy and bitter character and a hint of coriander. As the brewer, Paul, has two beers named after his kids, Mike, the other partner in the brewery, wanted a beer named after his cat.

Named after a famous 800 year old oak tree, Old Knobbley is an interesting and well balanced dark ruby best bitter. Crystal, chocolate and black malts are added to the mash to create a complex malty flavour with hints of coffee and chocolate. Several additions of Fuggles, Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops in the boil produce a lingering hoppy finish.

A roasted barley aroma, a deep, dark colour and a smooth-yet-dry taste: all the hallmarks of an exquisite stout. Brewed using a blend of dark roasted malts and an old fashioned (and rather famous) English hop called Fuggles. Dark copper brown, with crystal and roast chocolate malt and added rum, hoppy with black cherry aroma and taste. Complex and full-bodied, there is some sweetness but it is bitter and quite dry with more smooth chocolate and roast flavour in the finish.

This superb blonde (pilsner) beer is brewed for us by our friends at Budelse Brouwerij in the Netherlands. It's rich, full of flavour and even has Dutch 'Skal' organic certification. Made with wheat and barley malt.

This strong premium ale is full in flavour and appreciably dry and clean on the palate. Brewed to mark special occasions, and so it only makes brief, unscheduled appearances in our brewing calendar. Available only in limited quantities, this is an ale that's easy to miss but hard to forget. Made with wheat and barley malt.

Brewed using Pale malt, this perfectly balanced ale uses a citrus hop to compliment its golden appearance. It has bags of hop character with hints of grapefruit. Wholly refreshing, quaffing ale.

SA Gold is a full-flavoured, hoppy and refreshing golden ale, brewed at the home of the famous Brains SA in Wales. Careful use of Target hops creates a satisfying bitterness, perfectly balanced by vibrant citrus aromas and complex hop flavours from late-hopping using Cascade and Styrian Goldings. This 6% trans-atlantic fusion IPA is light golden in colour with tropical fruits and light caramel on the nose. The palate soon becomes assertive and resinous with the New Zealand hops balanced by the biscuit malt. The finish is aggressive and dry with the hops emerging over the warming alcohol. This fresh, full flavour natural beer is our tribute to the classic IPAs of yester-year. The post modern twist is the addition of amazing fruity hops giving an explosion of tropical fruit flavours and a sharp bitter finish.

A true best bitter - a pleasant balance of malt and hop flavours wrapped up in a beer that is, well, beer coloured. Brewed using English Bramling Cross hops and a careful blend of 5 malts. Due to supply problems with Bramling Cross, this award winning best bitter was only brewed occasionally through 2008. Trouble is, now we can get the hops again, we have found so many other popular alternatives ... but it's available again for the time being!

This amber-coloured beer is flavoured with American Mount Hood hops. Shortlisted for the "Campaign for Real Ale Champion Beer of Great Britain" a pint of this amber coloured bitter is just packed with those fresh flowery aromas that only American Mounthood hops can achieve. The more traditional English Fuggles and Golding hops add the required balance to this 'best bitter' whilst the underlying caramel flavours are achieved using a blend of Marris Otter, crystal and roast malts.

Butcombe Bitter is a clean tasting, refreshingly dry, outstanding best bitter. Amber in colour, hoppy & malty with a long, dry, bitter finish. NOSE: Hoppy, malty, citrus, with a slight sulphur aroma. NOSE: A bit like Budweiser Budvar - must be the Czechoslovakian hops! PALATE: Light and fruity, with a medium bitter finish. COMMENTS: A clean tasting, refreshing, easy to drink premium beer. Made with The palest English malt (sometimes known as lager malt), using The finest Slovenian Styrian, and Czechoslovakian Saaz hops. A premium bitter with a great nose!
:: Butcombe Brunel	Butcombe Brewery	5.0% ABV
NOSE: A stonking malty blast, infused with a predominantly Golding's hop character. PALATE: Dry, hoppy, full bodied with a bitter sweet finish - Dangerously Drinkable! COMMENTS: Brunel and his fellow engineers challenged our sense of what was possible and in doing so, changed the face of the world. Butcombe Brewery has produced an authentic IPA at 5% abv in celebration of the life, work, and legacy of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

A Gold medal winner in the international brewing industry awards 2000, and a three times bronze medal winner at the Great British Beer Festival in the Best Mild category, this is a smooth, full flavoured, truly dark mild with a rich creamy head. It has a full body and distinctive roasted malt taste, balanced by its fresh hop character. HISTORY of ULEY BREWERY Brewing at Uley began in 1833 at Samuel Price's Brewery. After a long gap, the premises were restored and Uley Brewery opened in 1985. It has its own spring water, which is used to mash in with Tucker's Maris Otter malt and boiled with Herefordshire hops. No sugar or additives are used. Uley serves 40-50 free trade outlets in the Cotswold area and is brewing to capacity. Expansion is not an option as the brewery is a listed building.
