HISTORY of ULEY BREWERY
A portrait of Uley BreweryBrewing at Uley began in 1833 at Samuel Price's Brewery. After a long gap, the premises were restored and Uley Brewery opened in 1985 by Chas Wright. It has its own spring water, which is used to mash in with Tucker's Maris Otter malt and boiled with Herefordshire hops. No sugar or additives are used. Uley serves 40-50 free trade outlets in the Cotswold area and is brewing to capacity. Expansion is not an option as the brewery is a listed building.

Harviestoun - Bitter and Twisted
When the brewery was founded in 1984 the Head Brewer worked in an old stone barn with only a fractious mouse for company. This testy rodent is now the Harviestoun mascot, Harvie. You will find him standing guard on the pump badge of our most popular beer, Bitter & Twisted. It is a sharp, blonde beer with a superb fresh hop profile.
Hersbrucker hops, give a hint of honey and the tang of Grapefruit, Challenger hops lend a spicy fruitiness like the twist of a lemon. Very moreish but at 3.8% ABV, it's OK to be a little more indulgent.
Hops: Challenger, Styrian Goldings, Hallertau Hersbrucker.
