Dear Mr. Sainty
FLORAL DISPLAYS COMPETITION
We have now had the results of the judging by the Dursley & District Gardening Club of the above competition, and we are delighted to tell you that, once again. your wonderful display of baskets has won the Society trophy in the Large Display class with the Small Display class being won by the National Westminster Bank. The high standard of all entries was remarked on by the judges who found it very difficult to make a final choice.
We intend to present the cups to the winners shortly when the cups have been suitably engraved and will be in touch with you again to arrange a mutually convenient time for this.
May we thank you again for taking part this year. The displays have certainly brightened up the area and the willingness and enthusiasm of all entrants has been very heartening. We hope to run this competition again next year and we look forward to your participation again at that time.
Yours sincerely
Mary Jones Hon. Secretary
