Tish Café began life as a two piece acoustic/rock band set up by Dave Bound and Mark 'Jaff' Jefferis in January 2009. They are based in Dursley, Glos.
Both Dave and Jaff had gigged widely over the preceding few years as members of the trio Off with Her Head, playing venues ranging from intimate wine bars to weddings to music festivals.
Tish's live shows are generally based on acoustic versions of popular covers - done in their own style, although with the joining of ace drummer Mickey Jones in April 2009, they are gradually introducing more traditional electric rock and blues.
For smaller venues the band is still available as a two-piece acoustic outfit.
In the studio, the band is focussing on orignal material drawing on Dave, Jaff, and Mickey's eclectic tastes.
The new album 'The Great Mistake' is now underway. Watch this space!

Macaroni Penguins have been active on the Bristol live scene since 1995, playing an eclectic mix of covers and original material to appreciative audiences.
In the early days we became regulars at The Prom in Bristol, more recently we have played several gigs at The Old Spot in Dursley, and in 2006 we played at The Frocester Beer Festival.
Although based around North Bristol we have played as far afield as Cardiff, the Isle of Wight (boat) and Denmark (plane) - a gig by train awaits!

Typical Download Times
|
How Long Will It Take To Download A File?
This is somewhat like asking, "How long is a piece of string?"
Download time depends on a number of factors, including:
- The speed of your modem and whether it uses compression
- The speed of your internet connection
- Whether you connect to your modem wirelessly or or a hard-wired cable
- The size of the file for downloading
- The type of information in a file
- The speed of the internet connection of the conputer your are downloading from (any chain is only as strong as its weakest link)
- The performance of the Internet between your computer and our Internet Service Provider
- How busy our Service Provider is (the time of day and how many people are using the 'internet' generally)
- The Contention Rate of your ISP (how many people accessing the same port to connect to the internet through your ISP)
- How far you are away from the Telephone Exchange
- The weather conditions (sometimes)
- Varying Internet conditions etc. etc.

Typical Speed & Download Times
|
| | K/sec | 100K File | 1MB File | 5MB File | 10MB File |
| 14.4 Modem | 1.5 | 66 sec | 11 min | 57 min | 114 min |
| 28.8 Modem | 3 | 33 sec | 6 min | 28 min | 57 min |
| 33.6 Modem | 3.3 | 28 sec | 5 min | 24 min | 49 min |
| 56K Modem* | 5.4 | 17 sec | 4 min | 15 min | 30 min |
| ISDN - single channel | 7 | 14 sec | 2 min | 12 min | 24 min |
| ISDN - dual channel | 14 | 7 sec | 14 sec | 2 min | 12 min |
| Cable and DSL | 50 | 2 sec | 20 sec | 2 min | 4 min |
| T1* | 150 | < 1 sec | 7 sec | 34 sec | 68 sec |
* T1 lines are usually shared with others, so times will vary depending on users connected
* For comparison, a typical floppy disk holds about 1.44MB (one and a half megabytes).
* These times are estimates only. Your download time will vary depending on the factors above
